Earth Day Houston Green Expo
AIA’s Gulf Coast Green Consumer Exhibition is moving to Earth Day Houston at
Discovery Green in 2010. This exhibition offers you the outstanding opportunity
to present your products to the rapidly growing green market at Houston’s
largest free celebration of the nation’s 40th anniversary of Earth Day in 2010.
Earth Day Houston is the city’s official Party for Our Planet held on Saturday,
April 3, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The festivities kick off with the Earth Day Houston
5K at 8 a.m. followed by a day of family entertainment, environmental
education, and now the Green Expo!
The FREE one-day celebration will focus on the merits of mindful, sustainable
living while educating and encouraging Houstonians to preserve, conserve and
enhance our city and the Earth. Developed by the Galveston-Houston
Association for Smog Prevention (GHASP) and Mothers for Clean Air, Earth
Day Houston is a collaboration with the City of Houston, Discovery Green, and
various green nonprofit agencies.
Planned activities include the Earth Zone featuring interactive environmental
awareness activities highlighting land, air, water, and renewable energy, a
Farmer’s Market in support of locally-grown produce, and The Kids Energy Zone
and stage. In addition, recycled art projects, green living seminars and demos,
plus live musical entertainment round out the day.
Don’t miss this exciting event and the opportunity to exhibit your green products,
technologies or services to consumers who are making a difference by living.
