About The Earth Day Houston Festival, 5K & Green Expo

Join Air Alliance Houston, formerly Galveston-Houston Association for Smog Prevention (GHASP) and Mothers for Clean Air (MfCA), as we celebrate the 2nd Annual Earth Day Houston Festival, 5K & Green Expo. Earth Day Houston once again will take place at Discovery Green on Saturday, April 3, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. The festivities kick off with the Earth Day Houston 5K at 8 a.m. followed by a day-long celebration with family entertainment, environmental education, the NEW Green Expo and much more.

The free one-day celebration will focus on the merits of mindful, sustainable living while educating and encouraging Houstonians to preserve, conserve and enhance our city and the Earth. Developed by Air Alliance Houston, Earth Day Houston Festival, 5K & Green Expo is a collaboration with the City of Houston, Discovery Green and various green non-profit agencies.

Air Alliance Houston have also taken a pledge with FitPlanet to make Earth Day &Green Expo a green event.

Event proceeds benefit Air Alliance Houston, a non-profit whose mission is to improve Houston’s air quality and educate the public about the hazards of air pollution.
